Online Wednesday Prayer Service

“The Journey Through the Psalms”

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6-7

God is moving in mighty ways during this pandemic. Join us online for our new prayer service (30 min) beginning from April 29 till May 20. We will sing together, meditate on a psalm, and call on the name of the Lord together as we lift up our family, communities, and nation in our prayers. Prayer is one of the greatest Christian privileges, and through prayers, we seek our God to be our fortress and strength during these uncertain and anxious times. Join us beginning on Wed, April 29 from 7:00-7:30 p.m. via Zoom (the Zoom info forthcoming).

Online Giving

Thank you for your continued support for our church during these difficult times. Though we are temporarily canceling in-person worship services and programs due to Coronavirus concerns, we will continue to need your financial support for our continuing ministries.

Here are two ways you can give at this time. (1)You can give by mailing a check to the church office (91 Main St. Succasunna) (2)You can also give online by using our secure link found here.

Thank you for supporting the work of God’s Kingdom here at Succasunna UMC.

A Beautiful Tithes and Offerings Prayer

Special Missions Announcement

The Missions team is creating a special process to collect donations of food, paper products and personal items for Roxbury Social Services during these challenging times.
While we normally collect different items on a monthly basis, with the increased demand at Roxbury Social Services, we are going to be modifying our collection requests to match the most urgent needs in the community. With children of all ages confined to home, plus the difficult trend of many people losing their jobs at this time, the demand at Roxbury Social Services is increasing daily.
The following is the list of items that we are hoping to collect that are currently in urgent need:
Baby Wipes
Dinty Moore Stew
Rice Sides
Progresso Soup- Hearty Varieties
Paper Products
If you are able to donate any of these items, we have a new drop off location outside the back of the church near the door to the office. Here are the guidelines if you would like to donate any of these items during this challenging time.
The Guidelines
If you are unable to donate physically but would like to support, we are taking financial donations to be used for buying Shop Rite and Walmart gift cards as well as gas cards for Roxbury Social Services. Please list the word ‘Feeding Ministry’ on the memo line of any donation provided to the church.
If you have any questions, contact Linda Diffley, chair of missions team at lddrag@optonline.net

Life is difficult at times, and this is especially trying and anxious time for all of us. During this time of significant uncertainty, we encourage you to hold one another in prayers and join our prayers for our community, medical professionals, government leaders.

We also invite you to share your prayer concerns with us. Faith is not meant to be lived alone. This is why God has called us to be in community. We take your prayer request very seriously and will pray with and for you. Where do you find joys in the midst of this crisis? What are you feeling grateful for? Where do you see God at work during this time? Please share your thoughts with your church family.

If you have any prayer concerns and joys and you want Pastor Stephen to lift them up during worship, please submit them by Sat night using this Google Form.

If you need help, we first want to say that we care about you! Our goal during this crisis is to journey with you and serve you however you need. Please get in touch with us and let us know how we can serve you. Please contact us if you have a need or see a need in the community that we can address. You can call the church office or Pastor Stephen at office@sumcnj.org

If you want to help, there are multiple ways you can serve people in our community who are vulnerable. This is an opportunity for us to share God’s love with people in need. You can volunteer, donate, give, or pray during this time.
