OUR BELIEFS
What We Believe as United Methodist Church

God

We believe in one living and true God — everlasting, infinite in power, wisdom, justice, goodness, and love. God is revealed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ — God’s Son — is both fully God and fully human. Through His life, death on the cross, and resurrection, He offers forgiveness, salvation, and new life to all who trust in Him.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God’s present power in our lives — guiding, comforting, teaching, and empowering each believer to grow in faith and live out God’s love.

The Bible

We believe the Bible (Old and New Testaments) is God’s inspired Word. It is the primary authority for our faith and practice, guiding how we live, worship, and serve.

The Church

The church is the living Body of Christ in the world — a community of believers united in worship, service, and mission. We are called to share God’s love, proclaim the gospel, and work for justice, mercy, and compassion.

Humanity & Grace

We believe that every person is made in the image of God with dignity and worth — yet every person experiences brokenness, sin, and separation from God. Through God’s grace, offered to everyone, we can be forgiven and restored, becoming part of God’s family by faith.

Sacraments & Means of Grace

We celebrate two sacraments: Holy Baptism and Holy Communion — visible signs of God’s grace. These are not merely rituals but means by which we experience God’s presence and receive spiritual nurture.

Our Mission & Living Faith

True faith leads to “practical divinity” — a faith lived out through love, service, justice, and care for all people. As United Methodists, we believe following Christ means not just believing, but acting — bearing witness to God’s love through compassionate service
